October has been a huge month for online recruitment, with a substantial increase in employment opportunities and online activity.
Online Job boards are proving to be the most recognized place to find employment vacancies in this day and age with a reported 80% of jobseekers using an online method, be it in the Retail sector for Store Managers or Sales Sector for Field Sales Executives. They provide a key resource to today’s job hunter and enable employers to broaden their candidate attraction cost effectively.
Monster Jobs have seen an increase in their online activity “Wales had its highest level of online recruitment activity for nearly two years. Demand also increased in every English region, with the Midlands and North leading the way thanks to double-digit increases” This growth is a great insight into how the current climate maybe on its way up, albeit slowly! So good news moving into 2011.
CV Library have also reported this month that Social network sites are starting to firmly make an impact in this market, the ‘social network recruitment' is becoming firmly established within the marketing strategies of jobsites and recruiters, candidates don't see social networks as "a highly viable means of applying for vacancies, Nevertheless, they can be used as an effective traffic-driver and method of PR communication."
